Nail puller made in Italy

Nail puller for re-clothing a billiard table. Where ordinary pincers cut the nail off, the jaw of a nail puller grips it under the head and levers it out whole - without damaging the wood of the cushion. Forged in Italy. There are two type numbers, and the difference is in the jaw: no. 307 has a narrow jaw that reaches between closely set nails and along the edge of the profile; no. 310 has a wider, flatter jaw that finds more bearing on the wood and pulls heavier nails more easily. Anyone re-clothing a whole table usually keeps both at hand.

For cloth held down with nails

Snooker tables are still traditionally fitted with nails, and you will find it on older tables too. You will not get those nails out with a screwdriver without damaging the wood; that is what this puller is for.

It belongs with the staple remover and the plier: together the tools for a full recovering job, from taking the old cloth off to fixing the new one taut.

This is the kit I work with myself: staple removers, cloth-stretching pliers, battens for cushion cloth. Doing it yourself? Then you buy the same here.

Only, the difference is not in the tools. You see that on the table: how tightly the cloth lies and how the ball runs over it. That is where the years go, and you can simply leave it to me.
