McDermott SL5 Birdseye Pacific Blue pool - i-Pro Slim shaft

The SL5 comes complete with the i-Pro Slim, the shaft from McDermott's high-performance range. Eight strips of select maple, bonded around a carbon fibre core that runs the full length. That takes the unpredictability out of the grain: ten shots, one behaviour.

Forearm and handle are birdseye maple. The forearm in Pacific blue, the handle in natural walnut stain and without a wrap. Black collar with silver rings and a blue pearl ring between them.

A 12 mm Navigator Sigma tip on a carbon fibre ferrule, with a 3/8"-10 joint. You set the weight yourself with McDermott weight bolts. Lifetime warranty, warpage included.

McDermott builds its cues in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and each one goes through more than 150 separate procedures. Every shaft starts as kiln-dried, hand-selected North American hard rock maple and is turned eleven times — that is what keeps the wood stable. Forearms, handles and sleeves are made by hand from exotic woods sourced all over the world.
